Lobby Pickup of Library Materials

Requests may be made through our online catalog. Patrons may also call (516-922-1212) or email (askob@nassaulibrary.org). We are happy to provide reader’s advisory service also. We will try to fill requests each day, but please allow 1-3 days for us prepare requested items.

Items are checked out and placed in a bag. Find your bag labeled with your name and time of pickup.
Limits: Please limit requests to 10 items per patron or family member.

 

How to Use Lobby Pickup:

1. Request

Request Oyster Bay – East Norwich Public Library materials by phone (516-922-1212), email (askob@nassaulibrary.org) or using the web form below.
Email and web requests will be answered with 24-48 hours.

Check the Catalog before you place your request to see if the items you are interested in are available at the Oyster Bay – East Norwich Public Library!

At this time, you cannot place requests for any material from other Nassau or Suffolk County Libraries.

2. Schedule Pickup

If you have been notified you have a hold available for pickup at the Oyster Bay-East Norwich Public Library, we will call you to schedule a time to pick it up!

All pickups must be scheduled in advance, and many requests can be arranged for same day pickup.

3. Pickup

After calling, walk up & pick up your items from the Library Lobby.

Bags will be labeled.

Find your bag labeled with your Last name, First name and Date and Time of pick-up.

Grab your bag and enjoy!

Within 24-48 hours of receiving your request, a librarian will contact you to confirm which items you requested are available and to schedule a pick up time.
Please ensure the items you are requesting are available at the Oyster Bay-East Norwich Public Library by checking the Catalog before submitting your request. At this time we can only take requests for items which are on the shelf at the Oyster Bay – East Norwich Public Library.
